One of the state's top prospects in the 2013 class is ready to announce his college choice.
McGill-Toolen quarterback Jason Smith will choose between Auburn, Alabama, Ole Miss and Mississippi State on Monday at 8 a.m.
Smith, 6-foot-1, 187 pounds, is set to reveal his choice during a ceremony at McGill-Toolen High School.
Smith has scholarship offers from his four finalists as well as offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, UAB, Troy and Louisiana Tech. Clemson, Florida State, LSU and North Carolina are also showing interest.
As a junior, Smith accounted for more than 2,000 yards of total offense, passing for 1,307 yards and rushing for 740 yards.
Rivals.com rates Smith the state's No. 2 athlete in the 2013 class.
Smith claims a 4.47-second 40-yard dash, a 4.43-second 20-yard shuttle and a 30-inch vertical leap.
