Sigler impresses, offer may be on the way

Summer camps are perfect opportunities for players to show coaches what they are capable of, and hopefully convince a staff that they are deserving of an offer.
That seems to be exactly what Mobile (Ala.) B.C. Rain outside linebacker Devaunte Sigler has done.

Sigler came to Auburn wanting to leave with an offer, and it seems he may have done just that.
"I like the way they had everything setup", Sigler said. "At the end, we competed one on one with the offensive lineman, I didn't really get tired.
"Coaches told me they needed to evaluate me, and today was the last day to evaluate me. They had already seen me play, they've seen me practice, and they said all I needed was one day to work with them and I'd have my offer."
Sigler said he expects an offer to be on the way very soon, and said it would mean a lot to finally garner that scholarship offer from the Tigers.
"It means a lot to me", Sigler said about the potential Auburn offer. "It's not the first big school to offer me, but it would mean a lot. Auburn, they got my eye. I like the way they evaluated me, I like the way the camp was run and how the coaches took time to teach me."
Sigler did say that another SEC school is currently atop his list of favorites, but said he may not take much from Auburn to move to the top of the list.
"Right now, Auburn is number two", Sigler said. "Ole Miss is number one, they were the first to offer.
"It won't take much", Sigler said about Auburn's chances of moving atop the list. "As long as I keep in contact with the good people on campus."
The big defender's plans for the summer are fairly normal, planning on taking in some camps and continuing to go through the process. He does have a date in mind for a decision, a specific date in fact.
"I'm going to try and go to some more camps" Sigler said, "and I'll have my decision in the middle of the football season around the fifth game."
