Auburn is 7-14 against teams currently slated to make the SEC Tournament, with series wins over Ole Miss and Texas A&M. Both the Aggies and the Rebels were ranked 18th nationally when Auburn took two of three. Auburn leads 13th seed Tennessee by two games, trying to secure their spot in the SEC Tournament.
Auburn has 18 come-from-behind wins this season. The Tigers' last nine games will be played in a 12 day span to end the season.
The two division champions are automatically seeded first and second. Vanderbilt has already clinched the SEC East championship and is locked into the first or second seed, and if the season ended today, the Commodores would be regular-season champions and the No. 1 seed. LSU continues to hold onto the No. 2 seed.
Arkansas has the third seed. South Carolina remained fourth, due to having a better winning percentage than Mississippi State. The Bulldogs would be fifth.
Florida and Ole Miss are tied for the sixth seed, but Florida won the head-to-head series. Alabama would be the eighth seed.
Texas A&M would be the ninth seed by percentage points over Kentucky, which has one more loss than the Aggies. Auburn is the 11th seed and Missouri has the final seed.
Tennessee and Georgia would miss the tournament.
