AUBURN, Ala. | Liberty County (Ga.) point guard Davion Mitchell can't get enough of Auburn.
The 2017 Rivals150 recruit visited in late June and returned again Saturday, both unofficial visits. He hasn't set a date for an official visit to Auburn, but he knows he will take one.
Mitchell doesn't want to stay away. Not too long.
"I love (Auburn)," Mitchell said. "I love the coaching staff. I love everything about it. I love coming here."
Mitchell, ranked the No. 98 player in 2017, was one of many top recruits in Auburn on Saturday. The group divided into four teams of five and played full-court games.
Mitchell was forced to watch with a sprained ankle, but it didn't take away from his visit.
"I really liked the way they treated us," Mitchell said. "The coaching staff is great. I love them. They know my family. They know everybody."
Mitchell, who is 6-foot-1 and 190 pounds, stopped short of naming Auburn his leader. He has added offers this summer and now is up to 10. Auburn, Connecticut, Louisville, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Tulane, FIU and SMU all have offered.
He doesn't plan an early decision.
"I will make (Auburn) one of my official visits," Mitchell said. "Auburn loves me and I love them, but I'm just going to weigh my options out. I will probably wait until next year around this time to make a decision."
Mitchell, a member of the Georgia Stars 16U AAU team, was second-team all-state as a sophomore, and also garnered Hoopseen.com's AAAA Sophomore of the Year award and another second-team all-state selection.
