AUBURN | Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) Rivals150 power forward Horace Spencer, Auburn's lone commitment in its 2015 recruiting class, will be in Auburn this weekend on an official visit.
"I'll be there," Spencer said. "I'm looking forward to seeing everything and everyone again. I want to see the campus, get acquainted with the players and talk to the coaches again."
Spencer, 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds, committed to Bruce Pearl and staff last summer, but did not sign in the early period.
Spencer, ranked the No. 62 overall player in the country, is one of two Rivals150 recruits in Auburn's 2015 class. Hargrave Military (Chatham, Va.) four-star strong forward Danjel Purifoy is the other. Purifoy, ranked No. 81 in the country, signed with the Tigers in November's signing period.
Auburn's early signees included Purifoy, four-star center Trayvon Reed and three-star guards Bryce Brown, T.J. Dunans and New Williams.
Spencer plans to be Auburn's sixth signee.
"I haven't set up any other visits," Spencer said. "I plan to sign with Auburn (in April)."
Spencer, in 30 games this season at Findlay Prep, averaged 10.8 points, 9.7 rebounds and nearly three blocks per game.
