Rivals100 quarterback commits to Auburn
After a slow start to the recruiting season, the Auburn Tigers are on a roll. At the beginning of the month, Auburn didn't have any commitments and joined South Carolina as the only SEC schools without a verbal pledge.
However, the Tigers picked up two commitments in the last six days and can now add a third to the list as Hoover (Ala.) Spain Park quarterback Neil Caudle pledged to sign with Auburn Monday afternoon.

"I committed to Auburn," the 6-foot-2, 191-pound Caudle told AuburnSports.com. "I like everything about Auburn. I like the coaches, the atmosphere, the chance to be good in the future and win games. We're going to have a strong recruiting class this year and we will continue to win from last year."
Caudle had favored the Tigers since early in the recruiting process, but his favoritism towards Auburn actually went back much farther than that.
"I grew up an Auburn fan. I've watched the Tiger Walk and been to many games there," he said. "I've always wanted to play for Auburn. It's a blessing to have the ability to play there and an honor. It's a dream come true."
Caudle, who is rated by Rivals.com as the nation's No. 4 quarterback and the No. 87 overall prospect in the Rivals100, had many reasons why he chose Auburn, but the Tiger coaching staff had a lot to do with it.
Caudle was recruited to Auburn by Terry Price along with offensive coordinator Al Borges. He and his family also spoke with head coach Tommy Tuberville on many occasions.
"My parents have talked to coach Tuberville a lot and they love him," said Caudle. "I have really gotten to know coach Price and coach Borges and they are both really nice guys. Coach Borges really knows the game of football and I think he will be a fun coach to play for. He's laid back, but he wants to win games. He brought in the West Coast offense and that really helped Jason Campbell and helped them win last year.
"I'm excited about going to Auburn. When I get down there, I'm going to learn new stuff and have a chance to win with the good players coming in and the good coaches."
Caudle chose Auburn over offers from Alabama, Miami, Michigan, LSU, South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia Tech and Louisville among many others. With his commitment out of the way, he can focus on the rest of his summer and look towards his senior year at Spain Park.
"I can now focus on just Auburn and not have to worry about my decision," he said.
Caudle's next stop will be in California to compete in the EA Sports Elite 11 Camp in late July. The camp will feature the top 12 quarterbacks in the country.
Caudle, who is also rated the No. 2 player in the state of Alabama for 2006, will not have any problems qualifying as he sports a 3.67 GPA and made a 23 on the ACT. Caudle joins Montgomery (Ala.) Trinity's Bart Eddins and Northeast Mississippi Community College defensive lineman Greg Smith on Auburn's commitment list.
