Auburn offensive line coach Herb Hand traveled to Honolulu, Hawaii in the spring to visit junior college offensive tackle Jordan Agasiva.

It’s Agasiva’s turn to travel to see Hand this weekend.

Agasiva, who attended high school in Honolulu and is attending Pima Community College in Arizona, is scheduled to arrive in Auburn on Friday for an official visit.

“I’m most definitely looking forward to it,” Agasiva said. “I’m looking forward to seeing Coach Hand again. I’ve been talking to him a lot. He’s been recruiting me for a long time.”

Agasiva and Hand have developed a good relationship since Auburn’s first-year coach began recruiting the tackle in the spring.

“I really like Coach Hand,” Agasiva said. “He’s a really good coach. He was one of the few coaches who came out to see me back in the spring and that meant a lot.”

Agasiva’s visit this weekend will be his first to Auburn. He has a checklist of things he would like to do, and hopes to check-off as many as possible.

“I want to see the campus, take tours of the facilities and definitely see the game day atmosphere,” Agasiva said. “I want to see what Auburn is like, what a game in Auburn is like.”

Agasiva has an offer from Auburn, as well offers from TCU, Oregon State, Utah, Colorado State, Kansas State, Louisville and Missouri, among others. He has an official visit scheduled to TCU for Sept. 30-Oct. 2 and one to Oregon State the weekend of November 18. Agasiva also is considering an official visit to Utah.

Agasiva, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 310 pounds, signed with with Hawaii in 2015, but failed to qualify. He’s on pace to graduate Pima in December and will have three years to play two.
