Will Ignont has narrowed his focus to four, and the group includes only two schools from the SEC.

Ignont, a four-star linebacker recruit from Buckhorn in New Market, Ala., released his top four on Twitter Thursday night that included Auburn, LSU, Michigan and UCLA.

Ignont previously was committed to Alabama, although he never announced it publicly. He reopened his recruitment in June and announced last week that Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Michigan and UCLA were his schools of interest, but apparently no longer is looking at the Bulldogs.

Auburn has been among Ignont’s favorites since early in his recruitment. The Tigers continue to be midway through July. The same can be said about the Tigers of LSU.

“One thing with (Auburn’s) staff is I’m really close to them,” Ignont told UGASports.com on July 7. “Growing up as an Auburn/LSU fan, my family is from Louisiana, but (Auburn) always is going to be a school that I’m going to consider to the end.”

Ignont, who is ranked No. 114 in the Rivals250, hopes to have a second commitment before the start of his senior season.

“It’s going to be a very hard decision, but I’ve got to weigh all my options and make the best decision for me because I’ll be there for four years,” he told UGASports.com.

Rivals ranks Ignont, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs 240 pounds, the No. 5 inside linebacker in the 2017 class.
