AUBURN | The No. 1 fullback visited Auburn on Saturday.

Charles Strong, a Florida State commitment from in Union County (Fla.), was among a large group of recruits attending the Tigers’ second Junior Day of the year.

“It's beautiful,” Strong said. “I love it.”

Saturday was Strong’s first visit to Auburn. It also was his first meeting with running backs coach Tim Horton.

“It was fun,” Strong said. “He's a good coach. He puts it to you straightforward.”

Strong plans to return to Auburn in May and spend more time with Horton.

“He told me when I come up here during the summer to work out, he was going to coach me like he would coach me if I was committed or playing here,” Strong said.

Playing at Auburn is now a possibility. Strong remains committed to the Seminoles, but intends to continue visiting and considering other schools.

“I just want to take my visits and experience some things,” Strong said. “Coming from Florida, all I see is Florida Gators, Tallahassee. I'm going to be looking at other places, other schools.”

Strong, after his Auburn visit, said his top schools are Florida State, Florida, LSU, Auburn and Ole Miss.

“I have to put (Auburn) in my top five,” Strong said. “The plays that we run is the same thing Auburn runs so I feel like I could get in the playbook fast.”

Last season as a junior, Strong, who is 6-foot-1 and weighs 220 pounds, rushed for 1,279 yards and 18 touchdowns on 209 carries (6.1 avg.). He also had four receptions for 115 yards (28.8 avg.).
