JUCO OT sets official visit to AU

One of the top junior college offensive tackles has set an official visit to Auburn.

Badara Traore, a 6-foot-8, 320-pound tackle from ASA College in Brooklyn, N.Y., will visit Auburn July 14-16.

“I have a lot of interest in Auburn,” Traore said. “They will get my first visit. I’m taking all five of my visits, but that’s the only one I know of right now.”

Traore has received heavy interest from Auburn and offensive line coach Herb Hand. The Tigers’ second-year coach has visited Traore two different occasions this spring.

“We talk a lot, too,” Traore said. “I just talked to Coach Hand the other day. We have a good relationship. He’s been recruiting me for a while. He’s a good man, a great coach.”

Traore is looking forward to seeing Hand in Auburn in July. It will be Traore’s first visit to Auburn.

“With Auburn, it’s just the tradition,” Traore said. “I want to take a visit down there and see it.”

Traore lists offers from Auburn, TCU, Georgia, Florida, LSU, Oklahoma, Nebraska, South Carolina, Penn State, Pitt, Ole Miss, Maryland, Louisville, Arkansas and Arizona State, among others. He plans to announce his decision after taking all of his visits.

Starting with one to Auburn in July.

Traore, who was born in the Bahamas and played high school ball at Magnino High School in Cambridge, Mass., is scheduled to graduate from ASA in December with three years to play two.
