Jones reopens recruitment

Class of 2019 forward Jared Jones has reopened his recruitment.

Jones, who committed to Auburn in September, no longer plans to sign with the Tigers, he informed AuburnSports.com on Monday.

"I wanted to make sure I was making the best decision for me," Jones said. "I wanted to give myself the opportunity to experience everything the recruitment process has to offer."

Jones claimed offers from Wake Forest, North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida and Florida State among others, before committing to Auburn. He has transferred from Pebblebrook (Mableton, Ga.) to McEachern for his junior season.

Jones’ de-commitment leaves Auburn without any commitments in its 2019 class.
