Joiner commits to Auburn

AUBURN | The No. 6 overall player in the state has committed to Auburn.

Harold Joiner, a four-star running back from Mountain Brook, informed Auburn coaches Sunday morning he will be a Tiger.

Joiner committed to Auburn after taking an official visit to the Plains this weekend.

Auburn now has commitments (or signed Letter of Intent) from four of the state’s top six players: Asa Martin (2), Coynis Miller (4), Seth Williams (5) and Joiner (6). Auburn also is a finalist for Justyn Ross, the state’s No. 1 recruit.

Rivals ranks Joiner, who was selected a U.S. Army All-American, the No. 23 athlete in the 2018 class.

Joiner is Auburn’s 22nd commitment and third running back, joining Martin and Shaun Shivers. Joiner will graduate in the spring and enroll at Auburn in the summer.
