AUBURN | Jackson-Olin junior Coynis Miller would like to continue playing football in college with high school teammate and Auburn commitment Tadarian Moultry.

Miller now has the chance.

The 6-foot-3, 265-pound defensive end received an offer from Auburn last week, his second offer and first from an SEC school.

“I have a lot of interest (in playing with Moultry at Auburn),” Miller said. “He’s glad I got the offer. He’s like my brother. It would be nice to play with him.”

Miller got his first look at Auburn on Saturday as he and Moultry made the trip from Birmingham.

“It was my first time actually seeing the campus and it is really nice,” Miller said. “There’s a lot of love here. It’s a nice place and wouldn’t be bad to go here.”

Miller now has offers from Auburn and Bowling Green, and increased interest from several schools including Mississippi State, Clemson and Southern Miss.

“I’m going to wait and see what happens,” Miller said in regards to a timetable for a commitment. “I’m just a junior so there’s a lot more to come.”

Miller plans to visit other schools this summer and fall. He also intends to return to Auburn.

“I’ll probably be back real soon,” Miller said.

And Moultry will be with him.

At 6-3, 265, Miller claims a 4.75-second 40-yard dash, a max of 330 pounds on power clean and a squat max of 565 pounds.
