AUBURN | Jackson-Olin defensive lineman Coynis Miller visited Auburn on Saturday for the Tigers’ War Damn BBQ.

Miller was among a select group of juniors at the event.

“It was good just being around the coaches and players, just enjoying a good day,” Miller said. “We had fun.”

Miller, who has early offers from Auburn, Alabama and Bowling Green, met with several of the coaches, including defensive line coach Rodney Garner.

“We spent a lot of time together,” Miller said. “He said he is going to recruit me hard and try to get me down here. He wants to coach me.”

Miller is considering giving Garner the opportunity. Auburn’s coach extended an offer in the spring and has since been heavily recruiting Miller. The top defensive line recruit is a top defensive line target for the coach.

Miller, however, isn’t listing any early favorites. His teammate, Auburn linebacker commitment Tadarian Moultry, isn’t pressuring Miller to join him on the Plains.

“He really hasn’t said anything,” Miller said of Moultry. “He’s never said to come to Auburn, just to go wherever I feel at home.”

Miller intends to do so, and he’s not in a rush to decide.

“I’m just enjoying (recruiting) while it happens,” Miller said. “I’m going to wait it out.”

Miller, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 270 pounds, plans to return to Auburn for at least two games in the fall.
