AUBURN | Auburn’s Rising Juniors Camp last Friday attracted many of the state’s top prospects in the 2018 class, and among them was Seth Williams.

Williams, who plays receiver for Paul W. Bryant High in Cottondale, arrived in Auburn early Friday, met with the coaches and competed in the camp.

“It went real good,” Williams said. “I had a good time and I’m definitely going to come back.”

Williams worked with Auburn receivers coach Kodi Burns during camp.

“He helped me with me get-off and also at being physical after the ball,” Williams said. “I really like him and he wants to get me to Auburn.”

The Tigers already have offered Williams the opportunity. Auburn is one of six early offers for Williams. The others being Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Ole Miss and South Alabama.

Williams doesn’t list any early favorites, but grew up an Alabama fan in the shadows of Tuscaloosa.

Still, that won’t affect his recruitment.

“There’s not a lot of pressure on me, but growing up in Alabama you have to pick Alabama or Auburn and I chose Alabama,” Williams said. “But right now I’m all open to any school.”

Williams, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 200 pounds, plans to return to Auburn in the fall to attend a game.

“I want to come to a game,” Williams said. “They say it is packed out and loud so I have to come see that. I’d like to come to a good game, maybe the Clemson game.”

Williams also plans to return to Tuscaloosa this summer for a camp and again in the fall for a game. He doesn’t plan to make a commitment anytime soon.

“I’m going to take my time,” Williams said.
