Brown, 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, had previously been committed to Charlotte.
"I signed with Auburn and I'm very blessed," Brown said. "I just felt like Auburn was the better fit.
"Auburn is closer to home. My parents felt more comfortable with me being closer to home. I really liked Charlotte, but at the end of the day, Auburn felt more comfortable for me and my family."
At Auburn, Brown will re-join one of his former teammates. Brown and Auburn sophomore Tahj Shamsid-Deen played together at Columbia High in Decatur, Ga.
As a junior last season at Columbia, Brown averaged 18 points and five assists per game. He has since transferred to Tucker, where he will play his senior season.
"Bryce is an outstanding 3-point shooter and strong-bodied athlete. He is a self-made player who lives in the gym," Auburn coach Bruce Pearl said. "He has tremendous family support and is just a terrific student-athlete."
Brown caught Auburn's attention in August at the Tigers' Elite Camp. Going against some of the region's best high school players, Brown was one of the camp's top overall performers.
"Bryce came to our Elite Camp and was extremely impressive," Pearl said. "The assistant coaches saw him this past summer and he really wasn't on anyone's radar. They came back from a number of different tournaments talking about this young man from Atlanta who was not being recruited at the level they felt he deserved."
Brown is Auburn's fourth signee in the 2015 class, joining four-star small forward Danjel Purifoy, four-star guard New Williams and three-star junior college guard T.J. Dunans.
Four-star power forward Horace Spencer plans to sign with Auburn in May. Four-star center Trayvon Reed will not sign, but join the team in December.
