"I'm coming Sunday," Threat texted AuburnSports.com. "Definitely can't come Saturday. It'll be Sunday when I (visit)."
Threat, 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, planned the weekend visit earlier this week while talking to Auburn area recruiter/receivers coach Dameyune Craig.
"I was talking to Coach Craig a couple of nights ago and he told me Coach (Will) Muschamp wanted me to come," Threat said. "(Craig) said Coach Muschamp had been talking about me, that he really liked me.
"I like Coach Mushamp, too. I think he'll make a big impact at Auburn. I'm excited to see what he does. I think he'll do big things at Auburn."
Threat claims offers from Clemson, Louisville, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He's also receiving interest from Auburn, Arkansas, Alabama, Miami, UCLA and South Alabama, among others.
Threat has visited Auburn several times, and hopes the Tigers offer. Should Auburn's interest change to an offer, Threat's recruitment also would change.
"An offer from Auburn would definitely impact my recruiting process," Threat said. "I've always been a fan of Auburn so an offer from them would be a dream come true, a big one."
Rivals.com ranks Threat the state's No. 10 overall prospect and the nation's No. 10 inside linebacker recruit.

Clay (Ala.) three-star receiver T.J. Simmons will visit an SEC school on Saturday, but it won't be the same one as his teammate, quarterback/athlete Ty Pigrome.
Pigrome is headed to Auburn.
"I'm going to Georgia," Simmons said. "I don't know when I'll make it to Auburn."
Simmons, 6-foot-2 and 185 pounds, has offers from Mississippi State, Troy, Cincinnati, South Alabama, Arkansas State and Western Kentucky. He's also receiving heavy interest from Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, MTSU, Memphis and Florida State.
As a junior, Simmons had 43 receptions for 965 yards (22.4 ypc) and 17 touchdowns for the 6A state champs.
