Getting comfortable

AUBURN, Ala. | St. Paul's cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis was the only sophomore at Auburn's cookout on Saturday.
Still, he didn't feel out of place. Gus Malzahn and secondary coach Travaris Robinson made sure of it.
"It went great," Armour-Davis said. "Just to be with Coach T-Rob and Coach Malzahn, they were just trying to get me to feel like family and get comfortable around the school."
Armour-Davis, who already stands six feet tall and weighs 160 pounds, had visited Auburn two times before, including a trip last month to camp when he earned an offer from the Tigers.
Saturday wasn't about performing or competing, though. It was more about building relationships, especially with Robinson.
"I like Coach T-Rob," Armour-Davis said. "I feel like he's a guy that would push me throughout my career at Auburn."
Armour-Davis, who also hung out with Tanner junior four-star athlete Chadarius Townsend, has offers from Auburn and LSU, and also is receiving early interest from Georgia and Kentucky. More offers are sure to come, which is one of the reasons Armour-Davis isn't in a rush to commit.
"I'm just enjoying the moment and not listing any favorites," he said. "I'm just taking it in as it goes."
Auburn, however, after being the first to offer and the most popular stop so far for Armour-Davis, likely will be a strong contender until the end.
"They are good as far as academics," Armour-Davis said. "And it seems like a good campus, a good city to be around for four years."
Armour Davis plans to return to Auburn in the fall for a game.
