AUBURN | Bryson Richardson visited Auburn for the first time last weekend and the 2018 safety from Buford (Ga.) High came away very impressed.

“This place is amazing. I'm speechless,” Richardson said. “The whole campus speaks for itself.”

Richardson, 6-foot and 181 pounds, spent a lot of time with secondary coach Wesley McGriff during the visit.

“He goes after it all the time,” Richardson said. “He's a good man and it was good to meet him. I know what his mentality is like.

“He told me to just keep on coming back. He said we've got a good program going on up here.”

Richardson already has plans to return to Auburn for a game this fall.

“I want to come see what the atmosphere is like,” he said.

Richardson has offers from Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Louisville, N.C. State and Wake Forest, and interest from a number of other schools including Auburn, Georgia, South Carolina, Clemson and North Carolina.

He plans to hold off on a decision until next summer.

“I'm just evaluating everything and taking in the process right now,” he said.
