Auburn safety Zac Etheridge received news Tuesday that he has been cleared to play football this fall.
According to Etheridge's Facebook page, and numerous sources close to Etheridge, he'll be back in the Tigers' secondary in 2010.
Etheridge suffered a neck injury against Ole Miss in 2009, tearing ligaments in his neck and cracking his fifth vertebra while making a tackle. Etheridge didn't know if he'd play football again until finding out the news earlier today.
"I am VERY excited to announce that your very own #4 will be returning to the field this season with all of my love and passion for auburn football!!!!!," Etheridge's Facebook page read. "I would like to thank God for his amazing work for healing me up perfectly and the life he has given me.. I want to thank everyone for their support and prayers bc i co...uldnt have done it without you!!! get ready for a great season.. WAR EAGLE!!!!!"
