West Orange (Winter Garden, Fla.) dual-threat quarterback Woody Barrett will announce his commitment today.
Barrett, 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, is set to choose between two in-state rivals at 1 p.m. CT during a ceremony at West Orange High.
"It's between Alabama and Auburn," Barrett said on Monday. "It's down to those two schools."
Barrett narrowed his choices to Auburn and Alabama after also considering offers from Clemson, Ole Miss, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, among others.
"Alabama and Auburn both are high-class programs," Barrett said. "Both can get you into the League and both compete for championships."
Barrett visited both Alabama and Auburn during the spring. He attended the Tigers' Junior Day in March, and visited one of the Tide's spring practices.
Rivals.com ranks Barrett a three-star recruit and the No. 62 prospect in Florida.
Barrett led West Orange to an 11-2 season in 2014. He threw for 1,558 yards and 24 touchdowns in what was the best season in school history.
