The No. 12 wide receiver will reveal a commitment on Friday.
Archer (Lawrenceville, Ga.) four-star Kyle Davis announced he would wear a hat onto the field before he and his teammates host Central Gwinnett. The hat will reveal his college choice, a choice that already has been made.
"After a fun and also stressful recruiting process, my family and I have come to a conclusion on where I'll further my education for the next four years," Davis posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday. "…look for my hat when I run out of the banner before the game on Friday."
Davis, 6-foor-2 and 225 pounds, was high on Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee in September, and his commitment is believed to be to one of the three SEC schools. He has visited each numerous times.
The former South Carolina commit's most recent visit to Auburn was for the Jacksonville State game. He also attended the Tigers' Big Cat Weekend in May and returned again in July.
Davis previously said that Auburn receivers coach Dameyune Craig is a big reason the Tigers were among his favorites.
"He thinks I can fit in real well with that offense," Davis said in September. "I can come in and make an impact right away."
Rivals ranks Davis the No. 68 overall player in 2016.
