AUBURN | Niceville (Fla.) Rivals100 receiver Elijah Stove doesn't see the point in waiting much longer to announce his college choice.
The No. 4 wide receiver already knows where he wants to attend.
"There's really no need to go on (with recruiting) if you know," Stove said.
So he's not.
Stove, 6-foot and 180 pounds, plans to announce his commitment soon, having made that decision over the weekend while on a visit to Auburn.
"I thought about committing to Auburn Saturday," Stove said. "But it will definitely be soon.
"I've always liked Auburn and my trip was great. It's great every time I visit Auburn, and if a place is great every time, then it basically is the place that fits you."
Stove and his father arrived in Auburn early Saturday and stayed throughout the day, which included attending the Tigers' A-Day game.
"It was really good," Stove said. "The game was good. I liked it a lot. I got to see the quarterbacks and the receivers throw the ball a little more. I watched Sean White and Jeremy Johnson.
"I also watched a little defense, but my main focus was on the receivers and how they run their routes."
It was a good place for him to focus. Unless something changes, Stove plans to be with the Auburn receivers next year.
"Auburn is my No. 1 school," Stove said. "Auburn is a great school and has a great opportunity for me.
"I don't know the date I'll commit, but it will be soon. I probably will just tell Coach Malzahn when I get ready (instead of a ceremony)."
Rivals.com ranks Stove the No. 4 receiver, No. 29 overall recruit and No. 8 player from Florida.
