And after his 10th visit to Auburn Saturday, the Tigers certainly fit the bill.
"I'm really comfortable here I just feel like it's home," said Jackson, a Rivals100 defensive tackle from Cedar Grove in Ellenwood, Ga. "My relationship with the coaches here is just really strong."
Jackson attended Auburn's Big Cat recruiting event with a number of other highly ranked prospects.
"It was great for me," he said. "Just meeting the different players, it's just all smiles every day, all day at Auburn.
"The coaches, they show their character every time. It's always been a family, always been great people and they always care about their players. That's what I really like about Auburn."
Jackson, 6-foot-2 and 293 pounds, didn't have a specific timetable for a decision but said a commitment is, "coming soon."
He said Auburn was definitely one of his top schools along with. "USC, definitely Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Ohio State."
Jackson said there's a lot of in-state pressure for him to choose Georgia. But will that pressure affect his final decision?
