AUBURN | Nick Brahms visited Auburn on Friday, and the four-star offensive line recruit found another reason the Tigers are No. 1 on his list.

“They offer aviation,” Brahms said. “That might be my new major. I really liked it.”

Brahms, from Navarre, Fla., and his parents spent the day learning about the academic side of Auburn. Brahms had visited the Tigers’ campus twice before and seen the facilities. Friday he saw Auburn’s aviation program.

“That’s why I came just to see that,” Brahms said. “It was big for me. That really impressed me. I really liked it.”

Brahms entered the visit with Auburn as his favorite. The Tigers strengthened their lead on Friday.

“Auburn still is my No. 1,” Brahms said. “(AU OL coach Herb Hand) is a great coach. I see a lot of success in the near future with Auburn.”

Brahms also is considering North Carolina, Miami, Tennessee and Oregon. He’ll visit Tennessee on Saturday and Oregon in July.

“I’m going to look at a few other schools and then decide,” Brahms said. “No date, just before the season.”

Rivals ranks Brahms, who stands 6-foot-5 and weighs 280 pounds, the No. 30 offensive tackle in the 2017 class. Auburn, Brahms said, is recruiting him to play guard.
