LaBryan Ray received another scholarship offer on Wednesday.

The four-star defensive end recruit from James Clemens (Madison, Ala.) added Auburn to his list of offers.

“I was excited,” Ray said. “I was definitely excited. It felt really good to get an offer from Auburn. It was a great feeling.”

Ray, who is ranked the No. 12 strongside end in the 2017 class, learned of the offer during a telephone conversation with Auburn coaches, including area recruiter Tim Horton.

“I spoke to Coach Horton a lot,” Ray said. “It was a really good conversation. I like Coach Horton and the rest of the Auburn coaches. They are a great staff.”

Ray hopes to visit the Auburn staff this spring.

“I have been to a camp at Auburn, but I want to go back again soon,” Ray said. “I want to go down and see everything, meet with the coaches and get a good feel for Auburn.”

Ray now has offers from Auburn, Alabama, Florida State, Michigan, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma and Texas A&M, among many others.

“I’m looking harder at some schools like Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Florida State and Ole Miss,” Ray said. “And now Auburn is in there, too. I’m real excited about the offer and hopefully can get down there this spring.”

Rivals ranks Ray, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 260 pounds, the No. 12 overall player from Alabama.
