Roswell (Ga.) offensive lineman Jordan Tucker could end up in the SEC after all.

Tucker, who is a former Tennessee commitment, has three SEC schools in his top five with less than two months remaining before Signing Day.

“Auburn, Mississippi State, South Carolina, Louisville and North Carolina are my main schools right now,” Tucker said.

Tucker, who is listed at 6-foot-6 and 325 pounds, has an official visit to Louisville set for Jan. 13-15. He’s talking with the other four schools about official visits, but hasn’t scheduled any at this time.

Tucker spoke with Auburn offensive line coach Herb Hand on Monday. The Tigers have increased their interest in Tucker since attending Roswell’s playoff game against Westlake in November.

“Coach Hand said he’s really high on me and wants to talk to me in person,” Tucker said. “I think he’ll come for a visit after the dead period ends (Jan. 11).”

Auburn has not offered Tucker, but the tackle believes it could come in January. He, at least, hopes it does.

“Auburn would be up there quickly,” Tucker said. “They might not take the top spot if they offered, but they would be up there.”

Tucker took an unofficial visit to Auburn in October for the Tigers’ win against Vanderbilt. He would like to return in January for an official visit.

“When I went up there, I could really see myself playing there and being happy there,” Tucker said. “An offer would mean a lot to me. I really hope and pray it works out.”

Should the Tigers offer, a commitment isn’t automatic. Tucker doesn’t intend to make a decision in haste.

“ I want to take my official visits,” he said. “I want to take my time and make the right decision.”

Rivals ranks Tucker the No. 82 offensive tackle in the class and No. 77 overall recruit in Georgia.
