AUBURN | Five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown watched two of his top teams play on Saturday.
The No. 3 defensive tackle was in Auburn on an unofficial visit as the Tigers hosted Georgia.
The Bulldogs won, 20-13, but Brown was impressed with the Tigers' defense. Auburn held Georgia to one touchdown and 243 total yards.
"They are getting better I can tell you that," Brown said. "They are honestly getting better and trying to get back to where they were a couple of years ago."
The visit was Brown's fourth to Auburn this season. He continues to get more familiar with the campus and coaches. He spoke with coach Gus Malzahn and defensive line coach Rodney Garner.
"They want me here," Brown said.
The No. 26 overall player is considering it. Brown plans to return to Auburn in January for an official visit.
It will be the third of five official visits he plans to take before making a decision on Signing Day.
"I want to find a place that's home and also where I could have a chance to play early and earn that spot," Brown said.
Brown has official visits set to Mississippi State on Nov. 27-29, Alabama on Dec. 7-9 or Dec. 14-16, Auburn on Jan. 15-17, Georgia on Jan. 22-24 and Tennessee on Jan. 29-31.
Signing Day is Wednesday, Feb. 3.
