After indecision, Logwood is all in with Auburn

But when former coach Tony Barbee was fired, Logwood became uncertain about his initial decision.
He spoke with new Auburn assistants Tony Jones and Chuck Person, but without the ability to speak with head coach Bruce Pearl, Logwood wanted to make completely sure that his decision to either remain with Auburn or ask out of his NLI was the correct one.
That final decision came on Sunday afternoon, as Logwood told AuburnSports.com he will remain a part of Auburn's 2014 class and report to the Plains in June.
"I'm going to stay with Auburn," Logwood said. "I think I will fit well with the new staff and we'll get a lot accomplished. Everyone is excited, the fans are excited. I feel like it's a great place to be and I'm excited about getting down there."
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Logwood made up his mind this week, heaping praise on Person for aiding in his decision.
"I've been going back and forth for a few weeks, but I feel like there's something great brewing," Logwood said. "Talking to Coach Person and his NBA experience, that will help me. He will help me tremendously."
Logwood had hoped to speak with Pearl, but wasn't deterred by his inability to do so.
"I did some research after I realized I wouldn't be able to talk to him," said Logwood. "I know he's a good coach and I feel comfortable in my decision."
Logwood joins Jack Purchase and top JUCO forward Cinmeon Bowers in the Tigers' class. The recent addition of Bowers made a late impact with Logwood, who has spoken to Bowers numerous times.
"It showed me Coach Pearl and his staff are for real and that was a nice get," said Logwood. "That was encouraging."
Logwood is happy the weight is off his shoulders and is thinking about the future.
"I know where I'm going now and I can relax," said Logwood. "I'm really excited and this coaching staff and our future, we can do some good things.
"We can make it to the NCAA Tournament, I believe that. We have some young players there, and I think this staff will land some talented players as well. I'm optimistic."
Logwood averaged around 17 points and six rebounds per game last season.
