Auburn will get a visit this weekend from one of the top basketball recruits in the country.
Sacred Heart (Waterbury, Conn.) five-star guard Mustapha Heron, ranked the No. 19 player in the 2016 class, is scheduled to arrive in Auburn on Saturday and stay until Sunday night.
Heron's father, Bryan Heron, also will make the trip.
"It will be an unofficial visit," Bryan Heron said. "We're both looking forward to going down there and seeing Auburn."
The Herons have heard a lot about Auburn. Coach Bruce Pearl and staff have been working on becoming a contender for the 6-foot-5, 205-pound guard.
The Herons have noticed.
"Coach Pearl has been to a lot of Mustapha's games," Bryan Heron said. "He came and watched him in Las Vegas. He was at all of his games out there."
Pearl is one of the primary reasons the Herons will be in Auburn this weekend.
"Coach Pearl, the coaching staff and their style of play," Bryan Heron said. "Those are the things Mustapha likes about Auburn."
Rivals ranks Mustapaha Heron the No. 7 shooting guard in the '16 class.
