4-star RB 'likes everything' about AU, hopes to return soon
Dameon Pierce visited Auburn in June and would like to return before the fall.
The four-star running back from Bainbridge, Ga. just doesn’t know when the next visit will be.
“It’s a day-to-day thing with my mom’s schedule,” Pierce said. “Whenever she is off and I am off and can go, we’ll go.”
Pierce has been impressed with each visit he’s taken to Auburn, which totals three so far. That includes his most recent one in June when he and his mother both met extensively with Auburn running backs coach Tim Horton.
“We didn’t talk about football,” Pierce said. “We talked about family and education, and those are very important to my mom."
Horton and Pierce formed a bond that day that continues to grow.
“Me and Coach Horton text all the time,” Pierce said. “I’ve been building a good relationship with him, and we’ve become real close. He’s a great coach and a great person. He’s a family-oriented man who cares about his players.”
