4-star DL commits to AU

Coynis Miller will sign with Auburn.

The four-star defensive lineman from Jackson-Olin announced his decision Saturday on Twitter.

Miller chose Auburn over his other two finalists, Alabama and Florida.

"Auburn recruited me hard from the jump," Miller said. "I built great relationships with the coaches. There was just something about them that made me want to be with them."

Auburn was the first SEC school to offer Miller. Auburn defensive line coach Rodney Garner offered Miller before his junior season.

"He played a big role in my decision," Miller said. "He stayed with me and told me that I'm a big priority."

Miller has been a frequent visitor to Auburn over the past two years, including a visit last Saturday for the Ole Miss game.

"When they first offered me, I went down there the next day and bonded with the coaches and players," Miller said. "And before I left, I was thinking that I really liked it and that it could be home."

Miller is Auburn's 14th commitment in the 2018 class and second defensive lineman. He joins Gulf Coast Community College defensive tackle Daquan Newkirk on the Tigers' commitment list.

"I'm a Tiger now," Miller said.
