2019 DB 'amped up' over Auburn offer

AUBURN | Saturday was a big day for Devin Bush.

The 2019 cornerback from Edna Carr in New Orleans, La., attended Auburn’s Junior Day and received an offer during a meeting with secondary coach Greg Brown.

“It was a real blessing. I was real amped up,” Bush said. “I had to calmly tell my mom. She was real happy about it.”

Auburn is the first big offer for Bush, who also has one from Nicholls State. He also has interest in Georgia, Texas A&M, Alabama and LSU.

“I'm really interested in Auburn. It's a big SEC school,” Bush said. “Their defensive backs are real nice. I watched them practice today. It's real nice. I'm considering them in my top 10.

“Their dorms are nice. I really liked the tour of the weight room, the locker room. It's a nice place. It's beautiful.”

Bush, 6-foot and 180 pounds, plans to take his time making a decision. He’ll attend a Florida Junior Day in the coming weeks. Saturday’s visit to Auburn won’t be his last either.

“I plan on coming back soon,” Bush said.
