AUBURN | KD Hill came into Saturday morning’s OL/DL camp at Auburn to compete and get better. He left with his first SEC offer.

Hill and his mother met with Auburn coach Gus Malzahn after the camp.

“He told me I'm a great player, I'm very respectful and he would like to have me at Auburn,” Hill said. “It meant a lot to me because Coach Malzahn is a great coach.”

Hill has camped at Auburn before and it’s allowed him develop a good relationship with defensive line coach Rodney Garner, who coaches his players hard even at camps.

“There was a lot of competition. I got better today,” Hill said. “Coach Garner, he really pushed us through it and got us better.”

Hill, 6-foot and 274 pounds, now has offers from Auburn, Troy and South Alabama. Alabama, Florida State and Georgia are showing serious interest.

Hill said Auburn will be in his top five although it’s early in the recruiting process from the 2018 defensive tackle from Eufaula (Ala.) High and he plans to take his time making a decision.

“Right now, I'm undecided. I don't have any order,” he said.

Hill plans to return to Auburn for some games this fall.
