Despite reports, Pryor still may not sign
Terrelle Pryor, the nation's top-ranked player and one of four five-star prospects yet to commit, told Rivals.com's Mike Farrell that he is still unsure whether he will make a decision on Wednesday. Pryor also told Farrell he may still visit Oregon after Signing Day.
Other media outlets reported Monday that Pryor was 80-90 percent sure he would sign on Wednesday and that he had eliminated Oregon. But according to Farrell, nothing has changed with Pryor. The quarterback from Jeanette, Pa., said he has no definite plans to sign with anyone on Wednesday.
"I spoke to Pryor, and he said the report was incorrect," Farrell said. "He said was still 50/50 whether he'd sign or not, and Oregon is not eliminated. He said it's still Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State if he signs Wednesday, and Oregon is in the mix if he waits."
Also a five-star basketball prospect, Pryor has talked about wanting play both sports in college. Saturday night, he scored 27 points and pulled down 12 rebounds with both Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez and Ohio State coach Jim Tressel in the gym.
Ohio State has long been at or near the top of Pryor's list, while Michigan got into the mix when Rodriguez was hired away from West Virginia.
Earlier last week, Penn State coach Joe Paterno also dropped in on Pryor. It appeared the top prospect in the nation had things narrowed down to three Big Ten schools. For now, Pryor says the Pac-10 school is still in the mix.
Stay tuned to Rivals.com for the latest on Pryor and other prospects as National Signing Day approaches.
