Koshwal provides bright spot for DePaul

The Rivals.com Five-Star Freshman Tracker is a look at how the top players in the Class of 2007 Rivals150 are faring in college. It will be updated each Tuesday throughout basketball season.

This Week's Featured Five-Star Freshman
DePaul center Mac Koshwal appears to be improving with every game. Good news for the Blue Demons, and bad news for everyone else.

Koshwal, a 6-foot-10 Chicago native, had a season-high 21 points and seven rebounds in a narrow loss to Vanderbilt last week. He followed up with his first double-double of the season, 16 points and 11 rebounds, in a loss to city rival Illinois-Chicago.

For the season, Koshwal is averaging 10.7 points and 8.6 rebounds. He has shown great footwork and tenacity on the boards, and he's an above-average passer. His numbers no doubt will climb over the course of the season.

Koshwal and the Blue Demons are headed to Puerto Rico for the San Juan Shootout this week.
