Big 12 Week 6 Recap
Blake Szymanski threw for 410 yards and set school records with 36 completions and 60 attempts, but it wasn't near enough as the host Bears lost 43-23 to Colorado. Baylor - which trailed 30-9 at halftime - allowed 450 total yards, turned it over three times and committed 10 penalties.

The Buffs jumped out to a 17-0 lead early in the second quarter, then rolled to a 43-23 victory at Baylor. Demetrius Sumler ran for two TDs and caught a touchdown pass, and Kevin Eberhart kicked four field goals of longer than 40 yards. Cody Hawkins threw for 293 yards and two touchdowns.

Iowa State
The Cyclones managed just two first downs in the first half and fell 42-17 at Texas Tech. Iowa State trailed 21-0 after the first quarter and 28-3 at halftime. The Cyclones had 203 yards of offense in the second half and scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

QB Todd Reesing tossed an interception on the Jayhawks' first play from scrimmage, but he ended up throwing for 267 yards and three TDs in a 30-24 victory at Kansas State. The Jayhawks also rushed for 170 yards in moving to 5-0 for the first time since 1995 and just the second time in the past 39 seasons. CB Aqib Talib had an interception and also caught a TD pass, his fourth score of the season on offense. KU has won three of the past four against K-State.

Kansas State
Josh Freeman threw for 305 yards and a TD but also was picked off three times in a 30-24 loss to visiting Kansas. It was the Jayhawks' third victory in their past four games against the Wildcats. WR Jordy Nelson had a big game in defeat, catching 10 passes for 147 yards and a TD, but K-State managed only 53 rushing yards.

The Tigers rolled up 606 yards in dismantling visiting Nebraska 41-6. It was their third consecutive victory over the Huskers in Columbia. QB Chase Daniel threw for 401 yards and two TDs and ran for two other scores as the Tigers dominated. Mizzou led 20-6 at halftime and rolled from there. The Tigers were 10 of 15 on third-down conversions and ran for 195 yards.
Next: Saturday, at Oklahoma.
The defense was overrun in a 41-6 loss at Missouri, allowing 606 total yards. The Huskers allowed 401 passing yards and managed just 295 total yards of their own. Nebraska, which entered the game averaging 36 points, was held without a touchdown for the first time since a 31-3 loss to Oklahoma on Nov. 13, 2004.

Redshirt freshman Sam Bradford threw for 244 yards and three TDs in his first OU-Texas game as the Sooners prevailed 28-21 in Dallas. Bradford's touchdown passes put the Sooners ahead 7-0, 14-7 and 28-21, and at one point he completed 14 consecutive passes. On the winning drive in the fourth quarter (which started at OU's 6), Bradford was 7-for-8; the incompletion was a drop.

Oklahoma State
The Cowboys blew a 17-0 halftime lead in losing 24-23 at Texas A&M. Oklahoma State had 459 yards of offense for the game, but could manage just two second-half field goals. Oklahoma State trailed 24-23 and forced an A&M punt with 1:46 left, but the Cowboys were called for roughing the punter and the Aggies ran out the clock.
Next: Saturday, at Nebraska.
The Longhorns couldn't handle Oklahoma's passing attack and fell 28-21 to the Sooners in Dallas. The Longhorns allowed three touchdown passes. Texas is 0-2 in league play for the first time since 1956, the season before Darrell Royal became coach. Jermichael Finley had four catches for 149 yards, the most ever for a Texas tight end. Colt McCoy threw for 324 yards.

Texas A&M
Jorvorskie Lane scored three times twice on runs and once on a pass as the Aggies rallied for a 24-23 victory over Oklahoma State. The TD catch was the first of his career. Lane also completed a 49-yard pass. A&M trailed 17-0 at halftime before the offense awoke in the second half.
Next: Saturday, at Texas Tech.
Texas Tech
Graham Harrell threw for 425 yards and four TDs and also ran for a score as the host red Raiders blasted Iowa State 42-17. WR Michael Crabtree had two TD catches and also scored on an end-around. Crabtree has 17 TD receptions, which ties the Big 12 season record set by Rashaun Woods at Oklahoma State in 2002. Tech led 21-0 after the first quarter.
