COLLEGE STATION, Texas -Acie Law scored 18 points, including two late free throws, to lead No. 11 Texas A&M to a 69-65 win over Kansas State in the teams' Big 12 opener on Saturday night.

Texas A&M (13-2) led 66-63 before Akeem Wright drove through the lane for a layup that made it 66-65 with 7 seconds remaining. Law hit both free throws to stretch the lead to three points.

He was able to make up for missing two other free throws with 19 seconds remaining.

The win was the Aggies sixth straight overall and their 17th in a row at home.

Wright cut A&M's lead to 64-63 with a jumper with 1:14 remaining. That time, A&M's Dominique Kirk hit two free throws to make it 66-63.

Texas A&M took the lead for good when Josh Carter hit a 3-pointer with 3:57 left that put the Aggies ahead 62-61. He grabbed a rebound and made a layup on A&M's next possession to stretch the Aggies lead to 64-61.

Wright led Kansas State (10-5) with 18 points and eight rebounds.
