Scott in action
Knee-deep in a very hefty recruiting process, four-star cornerback James Scott still had quite the reaction when he found out he was being selected for the East squad of the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl.
Scott's Seabreeze team exited the playoffs in the third round, and the bowl game in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on Jan. 4 will extend his days as a high school star.
"I just want to build some new relationships with my teammates for this game."
When asked what people should watch for in the game, Scott says that he's just "going to show them exciting plays.
"I'll be ready," Scott said. "I'm a playmaker. I'm going to go out there and make big plays."
His recruiting process is definitely heating up. Scott, who has held a boatload of scholarship offers, has narrowed his list down to Florida, LSU, Alabama, and Ohio State in "no order."
So far, Scott has visited Ohio State, LSU, and Alabama. The Sunshine State star will visit Florida on Dec. 8. That's when he feels a final decision will be close.
"I plan on announcing on Dec. 17," Scott said. "After Florida, that's it. I want to take my final visit there and look at the good along with the bad. Then I'll take it from there. The most important factor for me is going to be the atmosphere and the people at the school.
"There isn't one school leading right now."
