TV game leads to offers for GA RB
Even though his Norcross (Ga.) High team didn't perform as expected last week in it's nationally televised game against Miami (Fla.) Booker T. Washington, the chance to play on the national stage helped running back Josh Boyd pick up two new offers.
"I haven't been to either school, but they said they watched a little film from the Booker T. game," Boyd said. "Both schools said that they like the way I run."
Boyd said he's familiar with the Cougars and their pass-heavy offense and he's excited to hear from a school on the west coast.
"I know they pass the ball a lot," he said. "But they like the fact that I can catch out of the backfield. It's my first Pac-12 offer and that's big-time football, so I'm honored to have the offer."
Boyd said the chance to play on national TV has helped put him on the radar of several other schools as well.
"It was fun watching myself later, but playing in the game I really forgot all the cameras were there," he said. "But now I'm getting huge interest from a ton of schools, including Iowa, Houston, Missouri, and Utah."
Boyd spent Saturday on an unofficial visit to Duke, where his older brother Jared plays for the Blue Devils.
