Noah Vonleh Lands at Indiana

The basketball situation in Bloomington couldn't possibly get any better, could it?

On Saturday night, things continued to go in Tom Crean's direction as the No. 1 team in the nation landed the No. 7 player in the nation.

As Noah Vonleh took his first official visit to Indiana, he came away with an easy answer in his recruitment.

After reclassifying from the class of 2014 to 2013 last month, Vonleh made his recruiting process short and gave an oral commitment to the Hoosiers on Saturday night during his visit.

"They did the best job with me and showed me how they can develop me for the next level," Vonleh told Rivals.com following his commitment.

The New Hampton School (N.H.) forward chose the No. 1 team in the nation over North Carolina, Syracuse, Georgetown, Ohio State and UConn because the Hoosiers recruited him the hardest, powered by lead recruiter Kenny Johnson.

Vonleh will join an elite class for the Hoosiers in Troy Williams, Devin Davis, Stanford Robinson, Collin Hartman and Luke Fischer.

Indiana specifically backed off of BeeJay Anya in order to make a push for Vonleh. Little did most people know that the five-star prospect would wind up committing to Indiana so soon.

With the commitment of Vonleh, Indiana gets a versatile combo forward who can play on the interior, as well as on the perimeter.

The Haverhill, Mass., native has a mid-range jumper that extends out to the 3-point line, and he can slash inside.

His post moves are tremendous and he has freaky athleticism near and around the basket. He has the handle of a small forward and great size that will make him an NBA prospect in Bloomington.

Drexel Lands Former Big East Commit Former South Florida commit Major Canady made his college decision this weekend as the 2013 guard committed to the CAA. Drexel landed the Kiski Prep (PA) talent, who will join 2013 power forward Mohamed Bah in the Dragons' class. They will look to add 2013 power forward Rodney Williams of St. Christopher's (VA) to their class on Friday. Williams will choose between them and St. Bonaventure.
