Villanova Adds Hart
Hart is best suited to play the 2 or 3 spot in Wright's system. However, one of his primary strengths is his versatility. Hart has the strength, size and handle to potentially play the 1 or 4 in emergency situations as well. Coach Wright places a lot of value in players that he can use interchangeably at various positions on the floor.
VUSports.com scouted Hart at the Nike EYBL event in Hampton and filed these player evals:
Josh Hart, Sidwell Friends, MD 4-6 FGs, 0-0 3PFGs, 0-1 FTs, 8 Rebounds (3 Offensive), 8 Points, 2 Assists, 3 Turnovers, 1 Steal in 19 minutes. Hart had less impact on this game than he did in his Friday night tilt. He shot the ball efficiently while scoring from both midrange and around the cup. He was content to facilitate and play in a team construct instead of forcing the action to get his own shots. As a team, Team Takeover turned the ball over a lot as the team speed of Baltimore Elite proved disruptive. Hart may have better served his team's cause by being a bit more aggressive looking for his own offense.
Josh Hart, Sidwell Friends, MD 4-9 FGs, 1-3 3PFGs, 2-2 FTs, 8 Rebounds, 11 Points, 1 Assist, 1 Turnover, 1 Steal in 24 minutes. Hart is also a player with a long list of suitors. He has the frame and attitude to mix it up inside quite a bit for a guard. A good rebounder and passer. Hart stays within the flow of the game and doesn't try to force the action or simply go get his own shots. Shot it best along the baseline in this contest.
