Eagles have offered 2014 DB
It seems like it's never too early to start looking ahead when it comes to recruiting these days. Schools are offering kids earlier every year and plenty of 2014 prospects have registered on the national radar.
C.J. Reavis is a sophomore that's already creating a lot of buzz.
The 6-foot, 191-pound safety from Chester (Va.) Thomas Dale has verbal offers from both the Hokies and Cavaliers. That usually means a kid's offer list will end up being pretty long. It's only a matter of other schools having a chance to evaluate him.
Boston College seems to know a good bit about Reavis and the Eagles are trying their luck. Just about a year ago the Eagles earned a commitment from Win Homer, the top 2012 offensive lineman in Virginia, and they're hoping they can re-create their magic.
"Coach Al Washington is my recruiter," Reavis said this week. "He told me they want to offer me. They'll make it official in a few weeks."
Washington has made a good early impression on Reavis and that could be key to BC's chances.
"I've talked to him a couple of times and he seems pretty cool," Reavis said. "He told me the school is kinda like UVa. It's academics first. They're on the rise, too."
Purdue and Rutgers have also offered Reavis and he said more should be on the way.
Reavis told EagleAction.com that he doesn't have any favorites yet.
