Rivals.com 2010 All-ACC team
Virginia Tech was the first ACC team in a decade to march through its conference schedule without a loss, so it should come as no surprise that the Hokies dominate the Rivals.com All-ACC team.
The Hokies lead all teams with 11 overall all-conference selections, including four first-team picks. Virginia Tech's contingent is headlined by ACC most valuable player Tyrod Taylor, a senior quarterback who helped the Hokies win three ACC titles in his four seasons on campus.
Virginia Tech rebounded from a 0-2 start to win 11 consecutive games, and the Hokies were the first ACC team since the 2000 Florida State squad to go unbeaten in conference play.
Our ACC freshman of the year is Maryland quarterback Danny O'Brien, who threw for 21 touchdowns and six interceptions.
The ACC coordinator of the year is Florida State defensive coordinator Mark Stoops, who took over a defense that ranked among the nation's worst last season and helped it compile an FBS-high 46 sacks.
While Virginia Tech had the most overall All-ACC picks, Miami actually had the most first-team selections with five. Clemson and Virginia Tech had four each. Miami also had the second-most overall picks with 10.
