Ranking them all: Rivals.com 120 at 1:20

Here is the seventh Rivals.com 1-120 ranking of the season.

How do we come up with the rankings? Well, we wait until after Week 5 to release our first set. And there are numerous variables at play, chief among them who a team has beaten and where. While we have a "what have you done for me lately?" mindset, we also consider the rankings a snapshot of the whole season, not just one game; that's why -- at times -- teams are ranked below a team they may have beaten. In addition, if a tiebreaker is needed, it's who we think would win on a neutral field.

We update these every Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. Eastern time, so if your team isn't where you think it should be, check back in a week.

And one more thing: The reason there are no FCS teams in here is simple. It's the ranking of the 120 FBS teams.

On to the rankings:

Mike Huguenin's 120 at 1:20
1. Oregon (10-0)
BUZZ: What do you know? The Ducks' quick-strike offense turned into a ball-control group to ice the victory over California. NEXT: vs. Arizona, Nov. 26
2. Auburn (11-0)
BUZZ: For a guy in the eye of a big storm, Cameron Newton sure didn't seem bothered Saturday. Of course, going against Georgia's defense helped in that regard. NEXT: at Alabama, Nov. 26
3. TCU (11-0)
BUZZ: TCU gives up more than 10 point in a game and all of a sudden the Horned Frogs can't play? Yeah, right. NEXT: at New Mexico, Nov. 27
4. Boise State (9-0)
BUZZ: The Broncos are into the tough part of their league schedule now, with games against Fresno State and Nevada. (Gee, think LSU would swap Auburn and Alabama for Fresno and Nevada?) NEXT: vs. Fresno State, Saturday
5. Stanford (9-1)
BUZZ: The Cardinal head into "The Big Game" with an offense that sputtered a bit last week. Still, Stanford won, and that's the bottom line. NEXT: at California, Saturday
6. Wisconsin (9-1)
BUZZ: The Badgers liked scoring 70 points so much earlier this season that they went out and scored 83 this past weekend. NEXT: at Michigan, Saturday
7. LSU (9-1)
BUZZ: Last week, the Tigers ripped patsy Louisiana-Monroe. This week, it's an SEC patsy. But the regular-season finale against Arkansas will be a tough one. NEXT: vs. Ole Miss, Saturday
8. Nebraska (8-1)
BUZZ: The Huskers looked uneven on offense last week, but that offense had better be hitting on all cylinders this week. NEXT: at Texas A&M, Saturday
9. Ohio State (9-1)
BUZZ: The game with Iowa has lost some luster nationally because of the Hawkeyes' loss last week, but it's still a hugely important contest within the Big Ten. NEXT: at Iowa, Saturday
10. Oklahoma State (9-1)
BUZZ: The Cowboys were supposed to ride roughshod on Texas and did just that last week. This week, they're supposed to blow out Kansas. NEXT: at Kansas, Saturday
11. Michigan State (9-1)
BUZZ: The Spartans were off last week but get back on the field this week as they try to remain alive in the Big Ten title hunt. NEXT: vs. Purdue, Saturday
12. Alabama (8-2)
BUZZ: Some wondered about the Tide's psyche going into last week's game with Mississippi State. They shouldn't have been worried, as Alabama whipped the Bulldogs. NEXT: vs. Georgia State, Thursday
13. Arkansas (8-2)
BUZZ: Arkansas' run defense will get a test this week. But the Hogs' passing attack will cause some issues for Mississippi State. NEXT: at Mississippi State, Saturday
14. Missouri (8-2)
BUZZ: Mizzou looked quite good in the second half of last week's win over Kansas State. In each of their past three wins, the Tigers have scored at least 30. NEXT: at Iowa State, Saturday
15. Oklahoma (8-2)
BUZZ: QB Landry Jones and WR Ryan Broyles teamed to shred Texas Tech's pass defense. In their past three wins, the Sooners have allowed just 17 points; in their past two losses, that figure climbs to 69 points. NEXT: at Baylor, Saturday
16. Virginia Tech (8-2)
BUZZ: The Hokies keep rolling along. They've won eight in a row and need one more win -- over Miami or Virginia -- to clinch the ACC Coastal Division title. NEXT: at Miami, Saturday
17. USC (7-3)
BUZZ: USC is playing hard, and that's impressive, given that the Trojans really have nothing to play for. The defense actually came up with some key stops against Arizona. NEXT: at Oregon State, Saturday
18. Texas A&M (7-3)
BUZZ: The Aggies quietly have put together a nice season. A win this week and "nice" becomes "quite nice." NEXT: vs. Nebraska, Saturday
19. South Carolina (7-3)
BUZZ: The long wait is over -- the Gamecocks have won the SEC East title. Their first title of any kind since 1969 was won in dominant fashion, too. NEXT: vs. Troy, Saturday
20. Miami (7-3)
BUZZ: True freshman QB Steven Morris has proved to be an able replacement for injured starter Jacory Harris. Might there be a quarterback controversy when Harris returns? NEXT: vs. Virginia Tech, Saturday
21. Iowa (7-3)
BUZZ: The Hawkeyes had the game in hand last week, then fell apart late. If they don't regroup quickly, a season that began with national title hopes could end in the Insight or Gator bowls. NEXT: vs. Ohio State, Saturday
22. Utah (8-2)
BUZZ: Man, it appears as if the Utes let TCU beat them twice. Utah looked pitiful against Notre Dame. NEXT: at San Diego State, Saturday
23. Arizona (7-3)
BUZZ: The Wildcats have dropped two in a row, and it wouldn't be a surprise if that streak reached three. NEXT: at Oregon, Nov. 26
24. Mississippi State (7-3)
BUZZ: The Bulldogs' three losses have come to Auburn, Alabama and LSU, which means those three losses have come to teams with a combined three losses. NEXT: vs. Arkansas, Saturday
25. Nevada (9-1)
BUZZ: The Wolf Pack edged Fresno State this past weekend; that's their only win over a FBS team that currently has a winning record. NEXT: vs. New Mexico State, Saturday
26. N.C. State (7-3)
BUZZ: The Wolfpack hammered Wake Forest this past weekend; they are one of two teams in the ACC's Atlantic Division that controls its own destiny (Maryland is the other). NEXT: at North Carolina, Saturday
27. Florida State (7-3)
BUZZ: After missing a last-play field goal in a loss to UNC last week, Dustin Hopkins made one -- from 55 yards! -- to win a game over Clemson this past weekend. NEXT: at Maryland, Saturday
28. Air Force (7-4)
BUZZ: In their past three victories, the Falcons are averaging 46.3 points per game. Given their next opponent, the winning streak should continue and the average should remain in the 40s. NEXT: at UNLV, Thursday
29. Michigan (7-3)
BUZZ: If the Wolverines truly are back, they will win one of these next two games -- against Wisconsin and Ohio State. NEXT: vs. Wisconsin, Saturday
30. Northwestern (7-3)
BUZZ: The Wildcats hung tough and rallied to beat Iowa. But can they win without QB Dan Persa, who has been lost for the season? NEXT: vs. Illinois at Wrigley Field, Saturday
31. Baylor (7-4)
BUZZ: A spotty defense has caught up to the Bears. Still, a seven- or eight-win season is nothing to be ashamed of at Baylor. NEXT: vs. Oklahoma, Saturday
32. San Diego State (7-3)
BUZZ: The Aztecs weren't intimidated by TCU, that's for sure. As to what might have been this season, their three losses are by a combined eight points. NEXT: vs. Utah, Saturday
33. North Carolina (6-4)
BUZZ: T.J. Yates followed up one of the best games of his career with a four-interception performance. Now he must regain his focus and finish strong. NEXT: vs. NC State, Saturday
34. West Virginia (6-3)
BUZZ: Is this the best team in the Big East? That might be the case. Still, the Mountaineers don't belong near the top 25 right now. NEXT: at Louisville, Saturday
35. Penn State (6-4)
BUZZ: They played well in the second half against Northwestern and superbly in the first half against Ohio State this past week. But the first half against Northwestern and the second half against the Buckeyes? Well, those 30 minutes certainly aged Joe Paterno. NEXT: vs. Indiana in Landover, Md., Saturday
36. Florida (6-4)
BUZZ: The Gators' game against South Carolina could've lasted four months instead of four quarters, and they still wouldn't have reached 100 rushing yards. Ten games into the season, and the Gators still don't know what they're doing offensively. NEXT: vs. Appalachian State, Saturday
37. Kansas State (6-4)
BUZZ: The Wildcats have lost four of their past six, but they have a chance to finish strong, even if both games are on the road. NEXT: at Colorado, Saturday
38. Northern Illinois (8-2)
BUZZ: The Huskies look to have sewn up the MAC West title; now they need to worry about winning the MAC title game. NEXT: at Ball State, Saturday
39. Navy (7-3)
BUZZ: A week after crushing a solid East Carolina team, the Midshipmen barely escaped with a one-point win against a bad Central Michigan team. They've given up 106 points in their past three games -- and won two of them. NEXT: vs. Arkansas State, Saturday
40. UCF (7-3)
BUZZ: Knights players admitted they were feeling a bit fat and sassy, and that's why they lost to Southern Miss. Still, they're in good shape to win the C-USA East title. NEXT: at Tulane, Saturday
41. Pittsburgh (5-4)
BUZZ: Pitt remains the only Big East team with fewer than two league losses, but the Panthers' margin of error has shrunk a bit after the loss to Connecticut. NEXT: at USF, Saturday
42. Temple (8-2)
BUZZ: Consider Tuesday night's contest the de facto MAC East title game. Last season, Ohio U. beat the Owls for the division crown; the Owls want to return the favor. NEXT: vs. Ohio U., Tuesday
43. Tulsa (7-3)
BUZZ: The Golden Hurricane's win over Houston basically turned the C-USA West title chase into a two-team race. But bad news for Tulsa is that the other team is SMU, which beat the Golden Hurricane. NEXT: vs. UTEP, Saturday
44. Syracuse (7-3)
BUZZ: The Orange are bowl-eligible and in the hunt for the Big East title. And for that, Doug Marrone deserves league coach-of-the-year honors. NEXT: vs. Connecticut, Saturday
45. East Carolina (6-4)
BUZZ: ECU used to know how to play defense. Now, their defense is one of the worst in the nation; they have given up at least 40 points seven times this season. Maybe Ruffin McNeill needs to come up with a new way to defend opponents because his style didn't work at Texas Tech and it's not working at ECU. NEXT: at Rice, Saturday
46. California (5-5)
BUZZ: The Bears had a legit shot to beat Oregon, which means their best performance of the season may have come in a loss. Now they have to gear up to face another high-powered offense -- and this one belongs to their archrival. NEXT: vs. Stanford, Saturday
47. Georgia (5-6)
BUZZ: The Bulldogs hung tough before falling short against Auburn. Problem is, they've hung tough in most of their close games this season, yet still lost. NEXT: vs. Georgia Tech, Nov. 27
48. Georgia Tech (5-5)
BUZZ: The Yellow Jackets better beat Duke if they want to go to a bowl; they don't want potential bowl eligibility coming down to the regular-season finale against Georgia. NEXT: vs. Duke, Saturday
49. Notre Dame (5-5)
BUZZ: Yeah, I saw that coming. A team that lost to Tulsa, a team that can't play defense, a team without its starting quarterback -- that team not only beat 8-1 Utah but embarrassed the Utes. NEXT: vs. Army in New York, Saturday
50. Maryland (7-3)
BUZZ: The Terps might not have an impressive collection of victims, but they are one of two teams that controls their own destiny in the ACC Atlantic Division race. NEXT: vs. Florida State, Saturday
51. Clemson (5-5)
BUZZ: If Clemson had some receivers who could, you know, actually catch the ball downfield, this would be a good offense. NEXT: at Wake Forest, Saturday
52. USF (6-3)
BUZZ: Coach Skip Holtz's team has some holes, but he and his staff are doing some nice work to get around the problems. NEXT: vs. Pittsburgh, Saturday
53. Illinois (5-5)
BUZZ: Well, we guess those realtors who had taken Ron Zook off their "call list" now can put him back on it. How in the world does anyone lose to Minnesota -- and at home? NEXT: vs. Northwestern at Wrigley Field, Saturday
54. Texas Tech (5-5)
BUZZ: Never in his worst nightmares did Tommy Tuberville ever think he would oversee a team with a defense this poor. NEXT: vs. Weber State, Saturday
55. Iowa State (5-6)
BUZZ: The Cyclones got run over by Colorado and now must beat Missouri to become bowl-eligible. And they will have to do so with a backup quarterback. NEXT: vs. Missouri, Saturday
56. UCLA (4-5)
BUZZ: The Bruins still have a shot at a bowl bid, but to get that bid, they almost certainly need to beat Washington this week. NEXT: at Washington, Thursday
57. Southern Miss (7-3)
BUZZ: After playing some really bad defense of late, the Golden Eagles buckled down and stymied what had been a productive UCF offense. NEXT: vs. Houston, Saturday
58. Oregon State (4-5)
BUZZ: You don't deserve to have much said about you when you lose to Washington State. At home. NEXT: vs. USC, Saturday
59. Kentucky (6-5)
BUZZ: The Wildcats became bowl-eligible by muddling past Vanderbilt. Now they get a week off to figure out how to snap their 25-game losing streak to Tennessee. NEXT: at Tennessee, Nov. 27
60. Texas (4-6)
BUZZ: This season has been a surreal experience for the Longhorns. They played for the national title last season but seem likely to miss out on the postseason entirely this season. NEXT: vs. Florida Atlantic, Saturday
61. Louisville (5-5)
BUZZ: Getting to a bowl in coach Charlie Strong's first season would be quite the achievement; the Cardinals have to beat West Virginia and/or Rutgers to go bowling. NEXT: vs. West Virginia, Saturday
62. Connecticut (5-4)
BUZZ: UConn looked horrible in losing 26-0 at Louisville on Oct. 23. Since then, though, the Huskies have upset West Virginia and Pittsburgh to get back in the Big East title chase. NEXT: at Syracuse, Saturday
63. Hawaii (7-3)
BUZZ: The Warriors' final three opponents have a combined four wins over FBS foes -- and two of those are over New Mexico. NEXT: vs. San Jose State, Saturday
64. Arizona State (4-6)
BUZZ: A week after losing by one to USC, the Sun Devils fell by four to Stanford. And with the loss to the Cardinal came the realization that this will be the third consecutive season without a bowl. NEXT: vs. UCLA, Nov. 26
65. Boston College (5-5)
BUZZ: The Eagles haven't beaten a team that currently has a winning record. Good news for them is that this week's opponent also has a losing record, and a victory over that team locks up a bowl bid for BC. NEXT: vs. Virginia, Saturday
66. Houston (5-5)
BUZZ: The past three losses have come by a combined 13 points, which means coach Kevin Sumlin at some point this week will say to himself, "You know, if Case Keenum hadn't gotten hurt ..." NEXT: at Southern Miss, Saturday
67. Washington (3-6)
BUZZ: Each of the past two wins has come by one point. Meanwhile, the past four losses have come by a combined 118 points. NEXT: vs. UCLA, Thursday
68. Tennessee (4-6)
BUZZ: In three of the Vols' four wins, they have scored at least 50 points. It's not a stretch to think they could reach half-a-hundred against this week's foe, either. NEXT: at Vanderbilt, Saturday
69. SMU (5-5)
BUZZ: The Mustangs were huge Tulsa fans last week, as the Golden Hurricane's victory over Houston gave the Mustangs the lead in the C-USA West race. NEXT: vs. Marshall, Saturday
70. Fresno State (6-3)
BUZZ: The Bulldogs have scored at least 30 points seven times this season and will need to do so again to have any shot at pulling a huge upset Friday. NEXT: at Boise State, Friday
71. BYU (5-5)
BUZZ: BYU has won three in a row and four of its past five, and a win this week against a bad New Mexico team would lock up a bowl bid for the Cougars. NEXT: vs. New Mexico, Saturday
72. Army (6-4)
BUZZ: Give it up for the Black Knights. They beat Kent State to become bowl-eligible, and they'll be going bowling for the first time since 1996. NEXT: vs. Notre Dame in New York, Saturday
73. Rutgers (4-5)
BUZZ: The Scarlet Knights have lost three in a row, and four of their five losses overall have come by four or fewer points. A pitiful offense is the culprit. NEXT: at Cincinnati, Saturday
74. Ohio U. (7-3)
BUZZ: The Bobcats beat Temple in a MAC East showdown game last season. This season, though, that game is at Temple. NEXT: at Temple, Tuesday
75. Toledo (6-4)
BUZZ: The Rockets were handled easily by Northern Illinois last week, meaning they will finish second in the MAC West. But, hey, second place isn't that bad. NEXT: vs. Bowling Green, Wednesday
76. Colorado (4-6)
BUZZ: A week after falling apart late in a loss to lowly Kansas, the Buffs showed some guts and beat up on Iowa State. Cody Hawkins, whose dad had been fired as coach earlier in the week, threw three TD passes in the win. NEXT: vs. Kansas State, Saturday
77. Miami of Ohio (6-4)
BUZZ: Miami has won three of its past four and should increase that to four of five this week. And, remember, that this is a team that won once last season. NEXT: at Akron, Wednesday
78. Ole Miss (4-6)
BUZZ: Giving up 51 to an Auburn team with the leading Heisman contender at quarterback on Oct. 30? That's understandable. But giving up 52 to a Tennessee team with a freshman quarterback making his second career start? That's embarrassing. NEXT: at LSU, Saturday
79. Purdue (4-6)
BUZZ: The Boilermakers have lost four in a row. But the defense is making incremental progress. Purdue gave up 49 points in the first game in the losing streak, but that has shrunk to 44, 34 and finally 27 last week against a high-powered Michigan attack. NEXT: at Michigan State, Saturday
80. Cincinnati (3-6)
BUZZ: The Bearcats have won the past two Big East titles and gone to two consecutive BCS bowls. This season, last place in the Big East beckons. NEXT: vs. Rutgers, Saturday
81. UTEP (6-5)
BUZZ: The Miners kept it close for a quarter at Arkansas, then got their doors blown in. They might fare a bit better this week. NEXT: at Tulsa, Saturday
82. Tulane (4-6)
BUZZ: True freshman RB Orleans Darkwa has a string of four consecutive 100-yard games. He and sophomore QB Ryan Griffin give the Green Wave two nice building blocks for the future. NEXT: vs. UCF, Saturday
83. Louisiana Tech (4-6)
BUZZ: RB Lennon Creer, a Tennessee transfer, has come on of late and given the Bulldogs a solid running threat; he has four 100-yard outings in his past five games. NEXT: at San Jose State, Nov. 27
84. Troy (5-4)
BUZZ: The Trojans got hammered at home by Florida International in a battle for first in the Sun Belt; as such, they now need help if they're to win their fifth league title in a row. NEXT: at South Carolina, Saturday
85. Virginia (4-6)
BUZZ: The Cavs have given up 97 points in their past two games and continue to have trouble stopping the run. NEXT: at Boston College, Saturday
86. Arkansas State (4-6)
BUZZ: The Red Wolves close out with two tough games on the road, and you wonder if coach Steve Roberts is going to be back. NEXT: at Navy, Saturday
87. UAB (3-7)
BUZZ: As bad as the Blazers are, they have a great shot at finishing the season with two more wins because their final two opponents are Memphis and Rice. NEXT: vs. Memphis, Saturday
88. Indiana (4-6)
BUZZ: When you give up 83 points ... well, not much needs to be said. NEXT: vs. Penn State in Landover, Md., Saturday
89. Florida International (4-5)
BUZZ: This week's game is the final road game for the Panthers. They've won four of their past five and are in the driver's seat in the Sun Belt title chase. NEXT: at Louisiana-Lafayette, Saturday
90. Colorado State (3-8)
BUZZ: The Rams went to a bowl in 2008 in coach Steve Fairchild's first season. But they have struggled mightily in each of the past two seasons. NEXT: at Wyoming, Saturday
91. Idaho (4-6)
BUZZ: The Vandals gave up 424 yards in losing to Boise State last week, which was cause for a gigantic celebration. Why? Well, it was 420 fewer yards than they had given up the previous week. NEXT: at Utah State, Saturday
92. Kansas (3-7)
BUZZ: The Jayhawks acquitted themselves well in losing by just 17 to Nebraska. But it seems doubtful it will be that close this weekend against Oklahoma State. NEXT: vs. Oklahoma State, Saturday
93. Washington State (2-9)
BUZZ: The Cougars snapped an 18-game Pac-10 losing streak in impressive fashion, pounding Oregon State by 17 points in Corvallis. Now they have two weeks off before they play again. NEXT: vs. Washington, Dec. 4
94. Marshall (4-6)
BUZZ: The Herd have come alive late in the season, winning three in a row. NEXT: at SMU, Saturday
95. Duke (3-7)
BUZZ: The Blue Devils have showed some signs of life, playing BC tough in a five-point loss that came on the heels of back-to-back wins. Not so coincidentally, QB Sean Renfree has been interception-free in the past three games. NEXT: at Georgia Tech, Saturday
96. Kent State (4-6)
BUZZ: It's not a stretch to think the Golden Flashes can win this week, which would put them within string distance of a bowl bid heading into their season finale against Ohio U. NEXT: at Western Michigan, Saturday
97. Utah State (4-6)
BUZZ: The Aggies have won two in a row. That their victims have a combined two FBS wins is immaterial. NEXT: vs. Idaho, Saturday
98. Florida Atlantic (4-5)
BUZZ: FAU has followed up a five-game losing streak with its current three-game winning streak. If that winning streak increases to four, expect the state of Texas to break off and fall into the Gulf of Mexico. NEXT: at Texas, Saturday
99. Minnesota (2-9)
BUZZ: The Golden Gophers are to be commended for not throwing in the towel on a dismal season. Instead, they went on the road and won at Illinois. NEXT: vs. Iowa, Nov. 27
100. Louisiana-Monroe (4-6)
BUZZ: The Warhawks still have a shot to become bowl-eligible, and a 6-6 record this season could get them a bowl bid. NEXT: vs. North Texas, Saturday
101. Western Michigan (4-6)
BUZZ: Western has two winnable games left on its schedule. And as bad as the Broncos have been this season, if they can finish 6-6 they will have a legitimate chance to go to a bowl. NEXT: vs. Kent State, Saturday
102. Ball State (4-7)
BUZZ: The Cardinals have won two in a row, over teams with a combined one FBS win. NEXT: vs. Northern Illinois, Saturday
103. Vanderbilt (2-8)
BUZZ: As bad as Vandy is, they have some guys on defense with some talent. The Commodores average 7.6 tackles for loss per game, which is tied for eighth-best in the nation. NEXT: vs. Tennessee, Saturday
104. Central Michigan (3-8)
BUZZ: The record isn't good, but the Chippewas really aren't that far away from being 8-3; five of their losses have come by a combined 19 points. NEXT: at Toledo, Nov. 26
105. North Texas (3-7)
BUZZ: The Mean Green have won two of their three games since coach Todd Dodge was fired. They also have put up two highest point totals of the season in that span. NEXT: at Louisiana-Monroe, Saturday
106. Middle Tennessee (3-6)
BUZZ: This was supposed to be a big season for the Blue Raiders, who were the preseason favorite to win the Sun Belt. Then starting QB Dwight Dasher was suspended and the season fell apart. NEXT: at Western Kentucky, Saturday
107. UNLV (2-8)
BUZZ: The Rebels scored 42 points in blasting Wyoming by 26 last weekend. That's nine more points than they had scored in their previous four games. NEXT: vs. Air Force, Thursday
108. Bowling Green (2-8)
BUZZ: The Falcons are last in the nation in rushing, at 60.5 yards per game. They average 2.0 yards per carry. NEXT: at Toledo, Wednesday
109. Western Kentucky (2-8)
BUZZ: The Hilltoppers pulled out an improbable win Saturday at Arkansas State. They scored on the final play of the game to force overtime, then scored on a 2-point conversion in OT to win 36-35. NEXT: vs. Middle Tennessee, Saturday
110. Rice (2-8)
BUZZ: The Owls gave up 54 points in losing to Tulane last week. That's the fifth time in six games they had surrendered at least 41, and they have allowed at least 30 in every game. NEXT: vs. East Carolina, Saturday
111. Wake Forest (2-8)
BUZZ: The Demon Deacons have lost eight in a row; that's their longest losing streak since 1978, when John Mackovic was in his first season as their coach. NEXT: vs. Clemson, Saturday
112. Buffalo (2-8)
BUZZ: Buffalo has forced 21 turnovers, which isn't a bad number. So why are the Bulls 2-8? Because they've committed 30 turnovers, including a nation's-high 21 interceptions. NEXT: vs. Eastern Michigan, Saturday
113. New Mexico State (2-8)
BUZZ: Both wins have come by two points, and every loss but one has come by at least 20 points. NEXT: at Nevada, Saturday
114. Wyoming (2-9)
BUZZ: The Cowboys have collapsed of late. First, they lost to previously winless New Mexico two weeks. Then, last week, a one-win UNLV team beat them 42-16. NEXT: vs. Colorado State, Saturday
115. Louisiana-Lafayette (2-8)
BUZZ: ULL has followed a distinct pattern. Odd-numbered games have been blowouts (at least 20 points), and each has been a loss. Even-numbered games have been close (seven or fewer points), and two of those have been wins. NEXT: vs. Florida International, Saturday
116. New Mexico (1-9)
BUZZ: The Lobos have given up at least 328 rushing yards in three consecutive games; they've allowed 13 rushing TDs in that span. NEXT: at BYU, Saturday
117. Memphis (1-9)
BUZZ: The Tigers are just bad all around. And get this: They have 7 punt-return yards this season. Total. NEXT: at UAB, Saturday
118. Eastern Michigan (1-9)
BUZZ: EMU has lost three in a row and have surrendered 135 points in those three games. The Eagles are last in the nation in scoring defense at 43.9 points per game. NEXT: at Buffalo, Saturday
119. San Jose State (1-9)
BUZZ: The Spartans have scored just 13 touchdowns, which is the fewest in the nation; seven of those TDs have come in their past two games. NEXT: at Hawaii, Saturday
120. Akron (0-10)
BUZZ: The Zips are last in the nation in total offense, at just 257.8 yards per game. They've gone four games in a row without a rushing TD. NEXT: vs. Miami of Ohio, Wednesday
