Rivals.com Preseason All-Mid-Major team

While we're about five months away from the start of the 2010-11 season, it's never too early to look ahead.

Thus, here's the Rivals.com Preseason All-Mid-Major team. We considered players from the Big Sky, Big West, Colonial, Horizon, Metro Atlantic Athletic, Mid-American, Missouri Valley, Southern, Sun Belt, West Coast and Western Athletic.

Tuesday, we'll unveil our Preseason All-Low-Major team.

PRESEASON ALL-MID-MAJOR TEAM

F Elias Harris, Gonzaga
Particulars: 6-8/215, Soph.; Speyer (Germany) Friedrich-Magnus-Schwerd-Gymnasium
Conference: West Coast
The buzz: Harris became a key part of the Bulldogs' attack as a true freshman, averaging 14.9 points and 7.1 rebounds and shooting 54.7 percent from the field. Harris is a big-time athlete who should become an even more important offensive cog with the departure of leading scorer Matt Bouldin. Harris was seen as a potential first-round pick had he left school after his freshman season, so next season could be his last for the Zags.

F Ryan Rossiter, Siena
Particulars: 6-9/234, Sr.; Staten Island (N.Y.) Monsignor Farrell
Conference: Metro Atlantic Athletic
The buzz: "Rooster" averaged a double-double for the Saints, at 13.8 points and 11.1 rebounds; he also averaged 1.4 steals and 1.0 blocks. Siena lost its two leading scorers -- both of whom were frontcourt players -- so Rossiter's offense will become even more important next season. He's a hard worker who can be counted on to develop more of a mid-range game this offseason; still, the bulk of his points are going to come from in the paint.

G Charles Jenkins, Hofstra
Particulars: 6-3/220, Sr.; Jamaica (N.Y.) Springfield Gardens
Conference: Colonial
The buzz: Jenkins was the CAA player of the year this past season, when he averaged 20.6 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 1.8 steals while shooting 80.5 percent from the line and 4.9 percent from 3-point range. Jenkins had nine games of 25-plus points and is an adept scorer from 3-piint range, from mid-range and in the lane. Jenkins' strength helps him score in the paint and he can overpower slighter defenders on the perimeter.

G Orlando Johnson, UC Santa Barbara
Particulars: 6-5/205, Jr.; Salinas (Calif.) Palma
Conference: Big West
The buzz: Johnson was the Big West player of the year last season, his first with the Gauchos after transferring from Loyola Marymount. Johnson has 3-point range -- he hit 39.7 percent of his shots from beyond the arc -- but he gets most of his points with his mid-range game and in the lane. He uses his size well against smaller defenders and also is an effective defender and rebounder.

G Shelvin Mack, Butler
Particulars: 6-3/215, Jr.; Lexington (Ky.) Bryan Station
Conference: Horizon
The buzz: Mack's performance as a freshman in 2008-09 garnered some attention, but his play as the Bulldogs advanced to the Final Four this past season made him a household name among fans. Mack is a physical and heady player who always seemed to make a big play when Butler needed one. He has good range, can get to the rim and has an effective mid-range jumper. His defensive ability, though, may be his No. 1 calling card. While Butler loses Gordon Hayward, the presence of Mack and Howard mean the Bulldogs still could make some NCAA noise.

G Kevin Foster, Santa Clara
6-2/220, Jr.; West Coast

G Andrew Goudelock, College of Charleston
6-2/200, Sr.; Southern
