White has always been a Bulldog

Chris White has been a Bulldog all his life.

The 6-foot-3, 245-pound linebacker began his Bulldog career at Vancleave High School before moving on to Gulf Coast Community College. Now the junior college All-American is at Mississippi State and has started every game for the maroon and white this season.

White is tied for third on the team in tackles along with Charles Mitchell and Zach Smith with 26 tackles on the year. White also has one tackle for loss.

"The season is going good," White said. "We've just got to keep working hard and seeing if we can get some more wins in. We've just got to keep picking it up and playing better."

White walked into a starting job at Will linebacker this spring after signing with the Bulldogs in December.

"I came in here trying to work hard and get some playing time," White said.

White was rated a three-star prospect and the No. 64 junior college player in the country last season at Gulf Coast. He helped lead the Bulldogs to back-to-back state championships during his time in Perkinston.
