Through the first two weeks of the 2009 season the Seminoles averaged just 94 yards a game on the ground. That changed in a big way last Saturday against BYU.





300-yard rushing games this decade

397 Aug. 31, 2002 Virginia W, 40-19

324 Oct. 28, 2000 NC State W, 58-14

321 Jan. 1, 2004 West Virginia W, 30-18

318 Oct. 20, 2001 Virginia W, 43-7

314 Sept. 19, 2000 BYU W, 54-28

310 Oct. 4, 2008 Miami W, 31-39

Against BYU, a team that ranked in the top 20 in total defense, FSU's churned out 313 rushing yards. Last year, the 'Noles broke the 300-yard rushing mark against Miami but you have to go back to the 2005 Gator Bowl against West Virginia to find the last time the 'Noles rushed for more yards (321).
