New staff, players to experience rich tradition

As an Auburn player in the mid-80's, Tracy Rocker has been through his share of Tiger Walks and seen Toomer's Corner get rolled plenty of times. He knows the AU fight song forwards and backwards and can Botta Getta with the best of them.

As an Arkansas assistant, he's even seen the newest Auburn tradition of the eagle circling Jordan-Hare Stadium before kickoff.

But Saturday, for the first time, he'll experience all of Auburn's gameday traditions as an AU assistant.

"It's a great moment. I still pinch myself. I still remember the day I set foot here as a freshman," Rocker said. "And now I'm still living the -- I don't know if it's a dream, but it's something special."

While Rocker is well indoctrinated in Auburn lore, the same can't be said for most of AU's new coaching staff and several of the true freshmen. But instead of sharing all his Auburn experiences with the newcomers, Rocker has stayed quiet on the subject.
