While Saturday's scrimmage was completely closed for viewing, including to the media and parents of players, the statistics for the first team offense indicate that they pretty much had their way with the second team defense.




Leading the way was quarterback Christian Ponder. The junior signal-caller completed a gaudy 15-of-20 for 287 yards, 4 touchdowns and no interceptions. All in all, 14 players caught a pass on Saturday and the two receivers at the front of the pack were [db]Rod Owens and Jarmon Fortson, who combined for nearly 200 receiving yards.
